CNC Machinist – 4-Axis Machining Center

Our client, a machining shop located on the South Shore of Montreal (Longueuil area), is currently looking for a CNC machinist to join their production team.

Shift: 7AM – 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the CNC machinist is responsible for machining precision parts using machining centers, including 4-axis equipment.

More specifically, you will:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Plan operation sequences and select appropriate tooling
• Perform machine setups and operate CNC machines for both one-off and production parts
• Carry out machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring, and other processes
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
• Make necessary adjustments during production
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize processes

Profile

Requirements

• DEP in machining or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in a similar role)
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools and machining techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of tolerances and machining symbols
